Diwali – It is one of the Hindu festival, a festival of light and celebrated with a lot of enjoyments. On this day Goddess Laxmi visits our house/home and give blessings to all her devotee. People whitewash their house, especially for this occasion and also decorate it with Garland, Rangoli, lighting a lamp and much more. I believe that Diwali is fully a creative festival 🙂

Initial Day of Festival Diwali –
1st day of Happy Diwali 2017 is on 17th October 2017. This day is known as “Dhanteras“. This day is very important and beliefs as “Shubh” day. On this day, it is compulsory to buy something metal such as – Peetal Diyas, Phone, Car, Bike or anything which you need and on this day people also started lighting lamp or diyas in all corner of the house.
2nd Day of Festival Diwali –
2nd day of Happy Diwali is on 18th October 2017. This day is known as “Choti Diwali“. On this day, people fire cracker and enjoy this day by lighting lamp in the corner of the house.
4th Day of Festival Diwali –
No need to describe the 3rd day, I hope you all know what happens on the 3rd Day of Diwali or we can say it as “Happy Diwali“. 4th day is also known as “Gobardhan Puja”. On this day the women’s of the house worship the dunk of the Cow which is called as “Gobar“.
5th Day of Festival Diwali –
5th day is considered as “Bhai Dhooj“. On this day brothers and sister visits each other house and celebrate it by spending time together such as watching movies, playing games and much more 🙂

How to Celebrate Happy Diwali –
People start preparing for this festival a week ago. They wash white their house, buy new clothes, buys a variety of sweets and salty, decorative items like – lamp, candles, artificial garland, stickers of Goddess Laxmi, make colorful Rangoli and much more. On the day of Diwali people start decorating their house like a beautiful bridal, lighting a lamp all over the house. At night, according to Muhurta, they worship Goddess Laxmi for better Wealth and Fortune and also pray for good years ahead. After worship, people go out to burst the cracker and enjoys a lot.
